Mrs. Charlotte Paugh has generously donated one of her famous quilts to Garst Museum for the upcoming “Annie’s Wild Raffle” as an item for the upcoming annual Gala. Mrs. Paugh began quilting in 1987, has participated in many quilt and wearable art shows, including the Town Squares Quilt Show at our Armory and has won awards at many National shows. She won 2nd place in the California show for Wearable Art.
This quilt is nature oriented, a “drunkards path” pattern in a contemporary setting. It took 127 hours of work; is 55 inches by 70 inches; and is titled: “Batik Leafy & Botanical Medley”. It was appraised by the American Quilt Society, being certified at $900.00.
There are three major awards for the raffle: this beautiful quilt; an iPad2, and a 32 inch flat screen TV. Drawn names need not be present to win, but everyone is welcome to the “Gala” on June 11 at Garst Museum. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The evening includes a light buffet, raffles, auctions and lots of fun. Admission is $10.00.
