>I honestly love this picture but have to smile to myself at how some of these 4th graders "copped an attitude".

>I love the picture as well, but it does bug me a little bit to see how bad some of the kids dressed. No need to wear "Sunday Best" (if you have it), but what's wrong with a nice shirt and clean pants to go to the statehouse?

>In the 4th Grade, I probably wouldn't have dressed all that great either unless the teacher or my mother told me I had to. My favorite is that this pic is surely one of about 10 being taken at the same time, as every kid seems to be looking a different direction!

>I must agree with 8:01 – I love the picture very much, but yes, teachers and/or parents should have told the kids to wear something besides jeans & and a t-shirt while visiting the Ohio Statehouse (well, jeans would be OK, but at least not a t-shirt with stuff on the front).Pet peeve of mine… people that dress like slobs for church, weddings and funerals!

>To Anonymous 8:01 am, these are 10 year old kids, it's unknown how long they where at the statehouse before this photo was taken, let alone the kids sat through a 2 hour bus ride just to get there. Did you ever stop to think how many of these kids come from single parent homes and how tough it is for the parent just to get their child to school everyday. Big deal so they're not perfectly dressed, these are kids experiencing a moment that will live with them for years. I know for a fact that one of these kids was so excited this past Saturday, it was he could talk about was his trip to the Ohio Statehouse.

>Elmer-you completely misread 8:01 comment. It's not about being a suit or fancy dress or a "long" bus ride (which it isn't). It's about making more of an attempt to look well when visitng a place a government.I'm a single parent on a tight budget. My kids manage to have some clothes to wear outside of everday. Jeans and an Ohio State t-shirt just don't really cut it, and you should try to teach your children that there are times you must make an ATTEMPT to look better than "everyday"
