>GATEWAY YOUTH PROGRAM SUPPORTS NATIONAL RUNAWAY PREVENTION MONTH

>

November is National Runaway Prevention Month and the Gateway Youth Program is encouraging everyone to “Glow Green”. Pictured are Kiara Ball, Austin Fitzgerald and Nathaniel Marsh delivering a green light bulb to Kimmy Hosapple in New Madison for her front porch light. Kimmy will be able to Glow Green every evening in support of the youth of the county. Twelve youth and staff went door to door in New Madison offering light bulbs to the residents. The Green Light Spotter will be out in the evenings watching for Darke County residents that Glow Green; if you are spotted your name will be put into a drawing for a free pizza from Marco’s Pizza during November.

Gateway Youth is a program of the Council on Rural Services which provides education, support, and volunteer services in their nine county service area.
