Your local and independent non-profit Cancer Association of Darke County sincerely thanks the talented Performers and all who made the Sixth Annual Gospel Sing concert on August 29th so delightful. We would also like to thank Lighthouse Christian Center for allowing us to hold the concert at their beautiful church yet again this year! The concert brought in over $700.00 to assist with the costs of reimbursing patients for costs related to transportation, medicine, medical supplies, and nutritional supplementation. We would like to thank those
The stupendous performers from this year’s concert included: Tommy Renfro, the New Dawn Trio, Donovan Brown, Kimi Holsapple, the First Baptist Church Puppets, and the Majestic Sounds Quartet. Warmest thanks to all of you! Special thanks goes to Kimi Holsapple, Kathy Black, and John Short for all their hard work getting this concert together for the Cancer Association.
We exist to help the people of Darke County through their battle with cancer and to educate the community about early detection and prevention. The Cancer Association would like to remind the community that all money donated to our organization will stay in Darke County to help its residents, not get sent to a national organization to only have a small amount come back to help our residents; all of the money donated goes back into the Darke County community directly. The Cancer Association is excited for next year’s event and hopes to make it even more enjoyable next year! Watch for updates about next year’s event during the summer of 2011 and remember; Where there is Help, there is Hope!
