>College Softball At Stebbins This Saturday

>The Greenville Girls Softball Association will be hosting a college softball exhibition this Saturday, October 9th at Stebbins Field in Greenville. Wright State University, Cedarville College, and Wheeling Jesuit University have all agreed to play an exhibition round-robin beginning at Noon, with games to follow at 2:00 and 4:00 PM. The college exhibition coincides with the 10U and 12U Ohio Wave Fall Harvest Select Fast Pitch Tournament also being held at Stebbins Field both Saturday and Sunday. It looks to be a great weekend weather wise, so stop out to the ballpark, free of charge, to take in some great softball action during the final big weekend at Stebbins Field this year.

GGSA would like to thank all of the girls who participated in the Fall Fast Pitch League which wrapped up this past Sunday, October 3rd. It was the third consecutive season of the instructional fast pitch league which saw 91 girls take to the Stebbins Field diamonds. The entire area was well represented in the league which included girls from Greenville, Englewood, Troy, Celina, Van Wert, Ansonia, Franklin Monroe, Willshire, Rockford, Bradford, Arcanum, Union City, and New Madison.

We would like to thank our Fall Ball sponsors which included Marco’s Pizza, Second National Bank, and Greenville National Bank. Because of our sponsors we were able to reward our players with hooded sweatshirts for participating in our league. We would also like to thank all of our volunteer coaches and parents who made it a point to contribute this fall and all summer league during the GGSA regular season.
