>EH has a question

>I remember that Charlie Fry built a number of houses in Greenville in the 1950s. Does anyone remember where the warehouse in the photo was located?

DR says: ” It was in the alley parallel to Water St. in the first block off North Broadway. As I recall the access was by heading toward the trestle and then turning left and the building was on the right. Don’t know if it is still there or not. As a kid I worked for them one summer.”

    >I believe that the warehouse was at the end of Walnut St. in the alley just before the old railroad tressel.

    >I believe the building was located on Walker Street between Washington and Wayne Ave. It was on the North side of the street between the the street and the railroad. It was a single sloped building, which looked odd in the 50's, and I believe the concreate slab is still there. I also believe the land is now owned by the railroad and also might have been also at that time which would mean that know records would show Fry owning a building at this location.

    >The building was off of Walnut St., a sort of hodge podge of a building. There was a fire in it during the 60's and it was subsequently torn down. The building that I remember between Washington and Wayne was actually the original freight depot and owned by the railroad.
