St. Paul United Church of Christ welcomes their new pastor, Dr. James C. Vandermark. He began his ministry with us in May 2010. Pastor Vandermark attended Bethel College in Mishawaka, IN for his undergraduate work in the area of biblical literature with a minor in philosophy and Greek. He attended Ashland Theological Seminary for his graduate work. Pastor Vandermark earned two masters. His first is a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies with an emphasis on Biblical Languages. Also, he received a Master of Divinity in Clinical Psychology and Pastoral Counseling. Pastor Vandermark earned his post-graduate doctorate from Ashland Theological seminary focusing on leadership transformation.
Pastor Vandermark is married. His wife, Linda has completed her degree as in veterinary science as a veterinary technician from Columbus State University. Linda and Jim have two children. Their daughter resides in Texas with her husband, Tim and their child, Ayden. They have a son, Curtis who is currently active in the Army stationed in the Middle East.
